Our Experience
VKS Agri Clinic is founded by Ms.Sellaponnu. Graduate of B.Sc(Agri). in 1999 and thereafter MBA in Finance. she has a wealth of experiance across Farming, Supply Chain Management , Warehousing for Bulk handling with national agency. etc..
Initially, VKS Agri Clinic was operating in 40 Villages, but now it is covering 200 villages spread over in entire Sivagangai District covering nearly 5000 farmers out of which 2500-3000 are registered farmers with farm cards. The Agripreneur will visit these 2200 registered farms
based on the cropping season of selected crops for on the spot extension services once or twice or thrice in a month from seed to seed concept
covering soil testing. Nursery management, land preparation, fertilizer application, water management, crop protection, yield assessment,
harvesting and marketing. and also having in her Registered farmers visits 800 Women Farmers.
Motivation behind choosing Agriculture
All these experiences motivated me to become an Agri-related Entrepreneur. Based on this interest I started VKS Agri Clinic Cum Mini Soil Testing Lab at Thiruppuvanam, Sivagangai Dt. On 13th March 2009. The main moto of this Agri Clinics to provide Agricultural Farm Solutions,Soil Test Lab, Agro Commodity Management and Agri Input Retail Business.
What we did and aspire to do
Land Development:
Land Development and improved package of practice. We have reclaimed fallow land into a cultivable land area by practicing Natural Farming processes in a period of 3 Years. We would like to increase the cultivable land area by utilizing barren lands available. Using micro irrigation and other practices that suits the locality. The land can be converted into a fertile cultivable land.
